Guitar Center is holding a remix contest featuring EDM artist Zedd's new song "I want you to know" featuring Selena Gomez. Over 5000 contestants are competing to win by remixing the song or performing a cover of the song and posting it to their "CoverMeZedd" channel. The goal is to get as many points as possible by sharing your song with friends, family and getting as much exposure on ones channel as possible. According to the official judging criteria points are not the only things that count. Performances will be evaluated by the Guitar Center judging panel as well as Zedd himself based on the following criteria: authenticity, technique, style and presence. Listening to a few of the remixes myself, I can say that there is a lot of talent out there as well as unique remixes. It's fun listening to the work of others as well as creating your own unique version of the song. If you would like to hear my submission you can follow the link below!
